I thought this is VERY interesting. Recently, during the finals, there were the reports that the “assumed” 2002 Western Conference Finals were “fixed.” While I’m happy the basketball world for the most part doesn’t believe in this “fixing,” this also obviously struck up a very controversial debate.

Recently, 82games.com wrote up an insane article on how they believe it was NOT fixed at all. They analyze many angles of the games, calls and consistency through the refs. If you’re interested, definitely check it out. Very cool and intellectual stuff! Click on the link below to check it out:

Reviewing the calls: Lakers-Kings Game 6

Sac Queens think it’s fixed. Maloof bros think it’s fixed also although they did said it’s not in public. more reason to hate us to trade Artest to us. Maloof bros picked us over celtics in the final is just the front.

i dont care about wether that game is fixed or not. but i tell you the stats are bs. you can make 1 or 2 bad calls at the right time to turn around the ball game without bias calls against one team through out the ball game. man we talking about “pro” referees here!!~

yea so it was not fixed good and the last 5 minutes we only got wat 2 maybe 3 calls.. so bleep that.

Game 2 of the 2008 finals.. heck..

Game 2 of the 2008 Finals was pure and simple… The refs allowed the C’s to manhandle the Lakers just short of a mugging, for just about the entire second half, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME, not allowing the Lakers to even breathes on a Celtic without a call… If this is the blue print of a conspiracy (FIX), to create an advantage for one team over another, which by the way, was much more blatant than game 6 of the 2002 Finals could have ever been perceived of…. Should we even be surprised? … The NBA is show-time-theater, and the plot will always be predetermined…. Ratings/Money, will ultimately determine the outcome for the perceived beneficiary; “We The People” … This, is what the NBA believes in whole-heartedly… too bad for those who still believe in fair, unbiased, and absolute COMPETITION….

CORRECTION: In my previous post, I was referring to the second half of GAME 4…. My mistake was due to the scenario being eerily similar, for the first 40 minutes and again for the last minute of GAME 2… And for those who don’t believe in the conspiracy theory, just rewind the tape, and look closely at those 2 games… NUFF SED!

ok guys we’re in denail right now, the refrerees did have a big influence in that game

  • Kings Rule

The only reason most of you guy’s don’t think that game was biased is because you are in denial like lskerfan567 said and its your team that got favored. From my perspective that game was called absolutely horrible. At one point Shaq even clotheslined a King in mid air causing the King to fall backwards to the floor. In any other game thats a flagrant and possibly an ejection. Shaq only picked up a normal foul. On top of that Chris Webber was being called for 3 in the keys when he would only stand there for about 1 second….Shaq basically raised his children in the paint. And thats just the start. That article is from a biased Laker point of view and no matter how “technical” it gets the Refs screwed it up. Whether it was on purpose or not is up for debate, but I personally find it hard to believe some of the most “respected” refs in the game have a night so bad that it basically decided the NBA champions. Im sorry, i just don’t buy it.
