The 2009-2010 NBA schedule was released today. The home opener is a inner city battle, a bit of a surprise — goes again the Lakers/Nuggets rumors that were flying around. As expected, LeBron and Shaq come to down on Christmas Day.

As for the hated Boston Celtics, we see them for the first time January 31st in Boston. A Houston match-up comes only five games into the regular season, interesting to see if there’s any bad blood brewing between the two teams.

Here are some schedule highlights…

Woo. A 7 game road trip in Jan that start with the Cavs and ends with the Celtics. Can’t wait for that so we cal win all 7.

    • http://thelakersnation.com Kam Pashai

My thoughts exactly. Another one of those road trips that could define the team.

    • jakegasol

its actually an 8 game road trip

    • dawg

It’s actually an 8 game road trip.

    • ceballos-neverforget

Not to mention, we’ve got Orlando right before that roadtrip, and let’s not forget the @Indiana game. Indiana beat us, boston and Cleveland at home, and even the ones they lost, they were close…we can’t overlook that one.

    • dtyujdtyu

does anyone think we need amare to get a second title? he is really good! i am no pheonix suns fan… but i am a big amare fan…. BUT Lakers rock!

  • desecrator93

Man I hate how the league always backends our schedule with road games. Cant they just balance the shyt out?

    • IwantLukeoutofLA

i feel the same way, but the long road trip that starts in cleveland is because of the grammy’s coming to LA

    • iamthetie

Agreed. That’s the first thing i noticed about the schedule also.

  • mj2kb

wow march are mostly all road games

  • jakegasol

i actually like this schedule, i think its much better than last season. last season it seemed EVERY back-to-back was with good teams, while this season that doesn’t happen very often

  • kate

Its not a 7 game road trip its an 8 game road trip it starts with Cleveland January 21 and it ends with Memphis February 1st. Lakers going to win it all. =]

  • PauKobeBynumOdomDynasty

Wait…check this! Our start of the season is 17 home games to 4 road games. That’s only 4 of 21 road games to start the season. And then that 8 game road trip that isn’t that deadly. After that we dont have a homestand of more than 4 games.

I’m expecting an 82-0 record by the end of the regular season, but then again my standards could be a little low for Kobe Bryant to handle.

They might as well release the finals schedule as well.

Very funny LakerMike247…I think that will stop the Bynum/Memphis/January jinx! We should finally have a healthy Andrew for 82 games. Lol.

  • Theneed4sheed

  • lakers4life24

i hoped ring night would be with the celtics watching us hang the 15th banner… :(

  • gmacc

What’s wrong “need4sheed”? “pencil in”? Doen’t sound 2 confident in ur boys! Well i’ma say this…Repeat!!! Something the Green Machine couldn’t do! No excuses!

  • http://ATLakers ATLakers

Damn it, they’re coming to Atlanta on a Wednesday, probably one of the few days I can actually it to Philips Arena. Plus, on the back-end of a 5-game trip. Yeah, that definitely worked out last year … only lost by about 15.

  • lakerfansince95

lol @ knicks vs lakers on ESPN.

    • gus26

thats to see if kobe can top 61 pts..

  • http://www.davidjbrickley.com/ David Brickley

Huge Home stand to start the season again. Got to get off to a fast start!

  • boston – where buy a championship happens

There are pros and cons for the 17 of 21 home games in the start, i would just love it when after 21 games we would be #1 with lets say ‘a few’ games ahead of CLE, BOS,…

  • JohnJohn

    Go Lakers

  • http://lllllkaer.com kobe_4_president

  • Candyman

Always back ending the schedule with road games! What’s up with that?!

  • andy bryant

i think it maybe a tough schedule for our lakers

  • http://www.inverter-china.com/blog lovekb

  • ShowtimeEra

All I can say is let the drive for sweet 16 begin! I LOVE LA!

  • dannyboyLA

lakerrs are not as good without gasol and ariza is a rising statr. Artest is not better than ariza, artest causes to much problems on the court. we screwed up and gave up a better player
